- December Positive Dog was Mrs. Zabel
- Jakl won VFW Teacher of the Year 2019
- January: FES homeroom teachers to introduce a new ZONES of Regulation (Emotional Regulation Curriculum) to students in their classrooms; this will focus on the ability to effective manage and respond to an emotional experience
- , Jan. 24: School-wide PBS movie shown (Toy Story 4)
- Father/Daughter dance sponsored by PBS to be held Jan. 24th
Treasurer’s Report

- Beginning checkbook balance (01/20/20): $20,000
- $13,000 allocated for multiple areas
- $3,500 available currently for spending
- 3rd and 4th grade flex seating complete-may have outstanding receipts
Spirit Wear Fundraiser
- Final tabulation: $6,757.75 approximate profit
- Still waiting on items to come in from Shamrock Graphics
Cookie Dough Fundraiser
- Final tabulation: $10,115.60 approximate profit
- Added note-Ms. Schmidt, Mrs. Rennes T/Th and Mrs. Susek won the pizza parties
School Dance—Fri., February 7th
- Tammy Kurey will coordinate this year
- Sticking with the glow theme; “Let It Glow” (playing on “Frozen 2”)
- Tammy ordered supplies (glow necklaces, bracelets, finger rings)
- Tammy will be sending out a flyer Jan. 24th and Feb. 3rd
- Room(s) reserved 5-8 pm; will need tables for the multi-purpose room and the front lobby
- Loralee Olson-Arcand to coordinate snacks and water
- Confirming high school students to volunteer that event; to split two groups: one group to come and decorate, second group to help with various areas
- Erin to pick up left-over Spirit Wear to sell
Brain Bowl – February 4th & 5th
- Kimberly Groenjes coordinating; students through 2nd grade participate
- Kimberly looked through the questions and made updates; Judy K. emailed to teachers to review updated question listing for review
- Pencils to be handed out for participation when pledges are brought in
- Pizza party(s) for top-earning class(es): 1) highest participation, 2) highest earning
Conference Meals – February 26th
- Amanda Hedtke told Erin she was thinking of doing a potato and salad bar, with toppings; drinks, desserts- everyone loved the idea
- Hoping teachers will encourage parent participation in PAC to help with such events
Artist in Residence
- Allocated $5,500 for artist (Steven); he will be here March 16-27
- Amanda Hedtke set up the hotel room (she had offered her hotel rate at $39/night [tax exempt; $156/week, which was approved)
- Rebekah Byers set up the volunteer sheet to have sent out
- More (black and white) newspapers needed for event!!!
- Steven (artist) suggested 5th grade students could bring in magazine pages/ads to decorate their fish
Plastic Recycling (ongoing):
- 1,350# to date (01/20/20)
- Girl Scout Troup leader will contact person at Trex to see if we can start a community drive- this would result in a nicer bench and there is a set amount to collect
- Other PAC members offered to help collect, weigh, and turn in accumulated plastic
- Ends in April (Earth Day)
Playground Sheds:
- We will look to set up time to come in and go through sheds/pump up balls, purchase items as needed
Teacher/Staff Requests:
- No new requests have been submitted
- Teachers have until January 31 to turn in $100 reimbursements
New Business:
- , April 30: Look to plan a Fun Night (Badger Sports Park or Funset Boulevard)
- February 17 PAC meeting to be changed to a different Mon., 2/10 due to no school
